This actually exists. Apparently, back when Donald Trump was opening Trump International Golf Links near Aberdeen Scotland he also released this limited edition 26 year old single malt. Like most of the weird, sketchy, ridiculous products he licenses his name to, The Donald had nothing to do with the actual production of this bottling of course. He simply slapped his name on it and went on his way.
As much as I hate to admit it, this appears to be a fantastic bottling. The reviews I've read have been stellar. Having said that, it's hard to go wrong with a 26 year old Glendronach. For a man who doesn't drink, he managed to hit the nail on the head with this bad boy. I've tasted several Glendronach expressions over the years and have never been disappointed. Here's one positive review from SoManyWhiskies.
When is comes to this particular malt, I'm honestly not even certain about what the name is. I guess it's called "Trump Scotland". Or perhaps "Trump Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky Scotland". Regardless, pretty much any name is better than "Grab 'em by the whisky".
It's hard to say what this puppy sold for upon initial release as it was limited to 504 bottles and was only available at Trump golf courses. Lately it has been sold at auctions for around USD $380 and an autographed bottle has gone for as much as USD $2050. It definitely seems like this product is more successful and of a higher quality than the countless others he's been pushing on us over the last 3 decades.
Does anyone remember that "Super Premium" Vodka he cranked out back in the day? I've never personally tasted it and since it went under I thankfully never will. Here's a funny review and watch the video below for the Trump Vodka commercial he made for his good friends over in Russia.
Here's a short (but hilarious) clip of the folks at Buzzed tasting it.
Ooh and remember when Trump took a giant crap all over Glenfiddich for sponsoring some event which gave some award to some dude who doesn't like him? Remember that? No?
I've never heard anyone refer to Glenfiddich as "Garbage Alcohol" before. Hey, speaking of garbage alcohol...
